Benefits of Our Hemp Protein
-
Highest Protein Percentage
Our hemp protein is 100% hemp, with no additives. We have worked really hard to formulate a 67% protein concentrate which is the first of its kind in Australia. The industry standard sits around 45%.
-
Gut-Friendly Plant Protein
Most plant proteins can leave you with digestive issues. Hemp is a low FODMAP, and is high in both soluble and non-soluble dietary fibre, which feeds the gut microbes and maintains healthy gut function.
-
A Complete Protein Source
Hemp protein stands out as a complete protein source, containing all 20 amino acids, including the 9 essential amino acids required by the human body to function prooperly.
How to use our hemp protein?
Hemp protein is an incredibly versatile ingredient. It can be used like any other plant protein; as a protein supplement or in smoothies. Our hemp protein can also be used in baking as a flour substitute, to make things like protein pancakes, raw treats and bliss balls or simply as a meat substitute, suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Hemp protein is free from all major allergens (unlike soy, peanuts, tree nuts and gluten-containing grains). Two and a half tablespoons will guarantee you 15.4g of protein.
Non-gritty forumla
The industry standard of hemp protein is dark, gritty, tastes 'earthy', and is low in protein concentration (50%) due to the traditional method of extracting the oil and the difficulty in separating the hulls from the protein. Through our novel process, we remove the hulls prior to extraction, resulting in a protein powder that is much higher in protein concentration (67%), and the resultant milled powder has an off-white / pale green colour, is light and fluffy in texture, and has an almost sweet, nutty flavour profile. Finally, a plant-protein that doesn't taste like sh*t.
